Kozan da\u011flar\u0131ndaki Var\u015fak&#8217;lar (Var\u015fak a\u015firetinden olanlar) bunlar\u0131n piyadesi, \u00c7ukurova&#8217;daki Av\u015far&#8217; lar ise s\u00fcvarileri idiler. Kozano\u011fullar\u0131 bu havalide uzun m\u00fcddet h\u00fck\u00fcm s\u00fcrd\u00fcler,halk\u0131n hak ve hukukunu i\u00e7 ve d\u0131\u015ftaki sald\u0131rganlara kar\u015f\u0131 korudular. Orta Anadolu derebeylerinden \u00c7apano\u011flu S\u00fcleyman Bey&#8217; in Kozan b\u00f6lgesini istila i\u00e7in g\u00f6nderdi\u011fi askerler Yusuf A\u011fa taraf\u0131ndan peri\u015fan edildi\u011fi gibi,bir m\u00fcddet sonra M\u0131s\u0131rl\u0131 \u0130brahim Pa\u015fa&#8217; n\u0131n Kozan&#8217;\u0131 almak i\u00e7in g\u00f6nderdi\u011fi askerler de da\u011flarda Kozano\u011flu Mehmet Bey&#8217; in kuvvetleri taraf\u0131ndan yenilgiye u\u011frat\u0131ld\u0131. Yusuf A\u011fa&#8217; dan sonra Ali Bey&#8217; in o\u011flu Mehmet Bey Kozan Beyli\u011fine ge\u00e7tiler. Kozan Beyli\u011fi gittik\u00e7e kuvvetleniyordu.<\/p>\n<p>1882 senesinde Sultan Aziz zaman\u0131nda Sadrazam Ali Pa\u015fa&#8217;n\u0131n Kozan Beyli\u011fi&#8217;ni ortadan kald\u0131rmaya karar vermesi \u00fczerine Dervi\u015f Pa\u015fa kumandas\u0131nda &#8220;\u0130sl\u00e2hiye F\u0131rkas\u0131&#8221; ad\u0131 alt\u0131nda bir kuvvet te\u015fkil edip Kozan&#8217;a g\u00f6nderildi. Ahmet Bey ile Yusuf Bey ve Kozan hanedan\u0131na mensup di\u011fer beyler, Halil Bey, Ali Bey ve H\u00fcseyin Bey&#8217;ler devlete ba\u011fl\u0131l\u0131klar\u0131n\u0131 hemen bildirdiler. Ahmet Bey&#8217; e K\u00fctahya Valili\u011fi, di\u011fer beylere de birer memurluk veya maa\u015f verilerek da\u011f\u0131t\u0131ld\u0131. Kozan bir sancak haline getirildi. Kozano\u011flu Yusuf A\u011fa Sivas&#8217;ta oturmaya memur edildi\u011finden muhaf\u0131z askerleri himayesinde yola \u00e7\u0131kt\u0131. Fakat a\u015firetlerinden bir ka\u00e7\u0131 yolunu kesip onu muhaf\u0131z askerleri elinden ald\u0131lar. Yusuf A\u011fa durumu de\u011ferlendirmek istedi. Kozan&#8217;a gelerek b\u00fct\u00fcn a\u015firetleri isyana kald\u0131rd\u0131. Bunun \u00fczerine M\u00fc\u015fir Dervi\u015f Pa\u015fa, \u0130smail Pa\u015fa kumandas\u0131ndaki bir m\u00fcfrezeyi Yusuf A\u011fa \u00fczerine g\u00f6nderdi.
