B\u00f6ylece salg\u0131n\u0131 \u00f6nleyecek t\u0131bbi bir \u00e7\u00f6z\u00fcm bulana kadar kontrol alt\u0131nda tutacaklard\u0131r. Ancak salg\u0131n\u0131n bir \u00e7\u00f6z\u00fcm\u00fc yoktur. Salg\u0131n kapitalist sistemdir. Ve \u00e7\u00f6z\u00fcm\u00fc de onun y\u0131k\u0131lmas\u0131yla m\u00fcmk\u00fcnd\u00fcr.<\/p>\n<p>Salg\u0131na u\u011frayan herkesi bir ak\u0131l hastanesine kapatan sistemin aptall\u0131klar\u0131n\u0131 ve insana dair ne varsa ona d\u00fc\u015fmanl\u0131klar\u0131 b\u00fcy\u00fck bir cesaretle ortaya koyan Saramago, durum komedisi \u00f6\u011felerinden de yararlanm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Salg\u0131na u\u011frayan hastalar aras\u0131nda asl\u0131nda hi\u00e7 k\u00f6r olmayan ama kocas\u0131 olan doktoru o kampta bir ba\u015f\u0131na b\u0131rakmak istemeyen doktorun e\u015fi de vard\u0131r. Kocas\u0131 d\u0131\u015f\u0131nda kimsenin g\u00f6rd\u00fc\u011f\u00fcn\u00fc bilmedi\u011fi kahraman\u0131m\u0131za kapitalist barbarl\u0131\u011fa kar\u015f\u0131 sava\u015fan devrimcilere atfedildi\u011fini d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnmek istiyorum.
